Based on the samples collected from 4 austral summer sampling cruises from 1989/1990 to 1992/1993 in the Prydz Bay region,the Indian sector of the Southern Ocean,the number and development phase composition of ovarian oocytes in gravid females of Antarctic krill, Euphausia superba Dana,and the relations of the number of ovarian oocytes with body weight and body length were studied.
本文利用１９８９／１９９０至１９９２／１９９３年度南大洋考察于普里兹湾邻近海域所获大磷虾标本，分析了南极磷虾临产个体卵母细胞的数量及与体长、体重的关系，以及卵母细胞的组成和发育特点。

| 南极大磷虾 Euphausia superba 磷虾目磷虾科的一种（见图）。体长40～60毫米。身体较透明，具红褐色斑点；额板三角形（额角短）；头胸甲下缘有1对侧齿；大颚触须末节长比宽大7倍以上；雄交接器顶突基部弯曲，与末部成直角，末端渐尖并卷向前端。生活于南极冰下，常大量密集成群。主要滤食硅藻。为2年生的浮游动物。是须鲸类和经济鱼类的主要饵料，可供人类直接开发利用。
