| 会子 中国南宋时的一种纸币。初为便钱会子，即汇票、支票之类的票据。大约在绍兴二十年（1150）前后（即12世纪40、50年代），它才发展成兼有流通手段职能的铜钱兑换券。三十一年 ，朝廷又置行在会子务 。行在会子务之设，虽说是“悉视川钱引法行之”，但最初实未照办。它不立兑界，不定界额，本钱才10万缗，面值为一千、二千、三千。宋孝宗隆兴元年（1163），又造二百文、三百文、五百文会。不数年，由于作为官府的支付手段，和国家财政相联系，已出现膨胀贬值现象。乾道三年（1167）十二月，宋孝宗下诏别造500万新会收换旧会。明年，定3年为一界；界以一千万贯为额，随界造新换旧，每道收靡费钱二十文足，零百半之。经这番整顿，会子之法始臻完备，与四川钱引法大同而小异。但国家财政的困难使得南宋君臣不久便破坏了自己制订的会子的兑界和界额。至淳祐七年（1247），会子的恶性膨胀使造新换旧已不可能。至此，会子的货币职能自难保持。 又有湖会，初名直便会子，即湖北会子、湖广会子的省称。因其流通限于湖北、京西路，为湖广总领所印发，故名。湖会亦以铁钱为本位，为防止南宋铜钱流入金朝，其功能与淮交同。又有四川会子，简称川会，为南宋后期的四川纸币。 |
