中国近海的海流系统之一。主要由黄海沿岸流、东海沿岸流和南海沿岸流组成。黄海沿岸流是沿山东和江苏海岸流动的冲淡水,属低盐(冬季兼低温)水流,水色混浊。起自渤海湾,沿山东半岛北岸东流,绕过成山角后,沿海州湾外缘南下,至长江口北转向东南,其中一部分加入黄海暖流,另一部分越过长江口浅滩进入东海,流速一般小于25厘米/秒。东海沿岸流是由长江、钱塘江和闽江等入海径流与周围海水混合而成,盐度极低,水温年变幅大,水色混浊,流速25厘米/秒左右,流向随季节而变:冬季因盛行东北风而顺岸南下,夏季因东南风和西南风占优势而流向北和东北。南海沿岸流指东经116°以西、广东沿岸的海流。盐度较低(夏季最低盐度仅12‰),流速较大,在珠江口附近平均为25厘米/秒,最大达70厘米/秒,流向亦随季节盛行风而变:冬季沿广东沿岸向西南流向湛江港,沿雷州半岛南流,分为两支,一支沿海南岛东岸继续向西南流,另一支在海南岛东北转向东北流,形成湛江港环流;夏季则自湛江港起一致流向东北。
