二苯胍又称促进剂D、促进剂DPG，分子量211．26。纯品是白色结晶粉未，味苦甜。相对密度(20 ℃／4℃)＞1．13，熔点114～150 ℃，170 ℃以上分解。溶于乙醇、苯、甲苯、氯仿、丙酮、醋酸乙酯。易溶于稀无机酸。微溶于四氯化碳，几乎不溶于水、汽油。在空气中稳定。低毒，与皮肤接触时有刺激性。
