福建省重要港口，福州市外港。位于福州市东郊闽江（马江）北岸。马尾港深居闽江口门之内。从马尾到闽江口长达33公里,出口河段多为峡谷,口外有琅岐、粗芦、川石等岛屏障,港区四周山岭环峙,避风条件好；港域深广；并有福州市和广大腹地依托，是良好港口。马尾港开发较早。20世纪50年代后马尾港进行重建，已在罗星塔前沿新建2座万吨级和2座5000吨级泊位。自福州被列为开放城市以后，已确定设立马尾经济技术开发区。罗星塔耸立在罗星山上，是福建省文物保护单位，罗星山已辟为公园。罗星山西麓立有甲申马江海军阵亡将士纪念碑和陵墓。马尾港面对大江，视野寥廓，景色宜人，为福州市旅游点之一。
