| 社区服务 community services 由政府组织或民间社团为社区居民提供的服务。具有社会性、福利性、大众性和区域性四大特点。中国的社区服务是由市（县）、区（镇）、街（居）委会等各级社区服务工作管理机构进行规划并组织实施，重点依托街道委员会和居民委员会等基层社区组织，并调动社区内的各种资源为社区成员提供服务。自1987年初创至今，中国的社区体系已逐步完善。大致包括老人服务、儿童服务、残疾人服务、拥军优属服务、婚丧服务、康复医疗服务、救济和保险服务、便民服务等8类系列，基本覆盖了社区居民生活的各个方面。社区服务的开展，促进社会分工的发达、提高人民生活的质量、保障社会的安定并增强社区居民的认同感，从而增强社区的凝聚力，因而有着广阔的发展前景。
