伴侣式爱情(eompanionate love)与浪漫式爱情相对应的一种爱情类型。浪漫式爱情是激荡的、强烈的、虚幻的、迷恋的，而伴侣式爱情则是平稳的、深沉的、现实的、依恋的。炽热的爱情虽高昂但持续时间并不长久，伴侣式的爱情虽低平但却是持久不衰的。伴侣式爱情的长盛在于恋爱或婚姻关系是亲密的和相互酬赏的。亲密性是来自于双方的自我暴露，即把自己隐秘的方面揭示给对方。使双方既真实地相互了解、又能在感情上加以接受，每一方都无需担心由于开放自己而失去对方的爱。双方的了解不断加深，双方的感情相互交织，体验到的就是伴侣式的爱情。失去这种亲密性，就会感受到孤独的痛苦。相互酬赏是来自于双方对关系的投入，每一方都能从对方得到自己投入的报赏。这遵循的是公平的原则。 (陈若莉撰高玉样审)
