一、概况
述阳县沭城镇十字社区，古称十字桥。辖18个行政村（居）委会，果园、蚕种场2个场圃，人口63262人。镇域面积88.85平方公里。
该区土肥水美，农、林、牧业生产条件得天独厚，是宿迁市产粮大县之一，全县第一批蚕桑基地和商品猪基地。与北丁集乡隔河相望，东与东小店乡、章集镇接壤，南与胡集镇相连，沂淮铁路、京沪高速公路、205国道、宿沭一级公路贯穿全境，是苏北的交通枢纽，交通便利。距南京250公里，连云港90公里，淮安60公里，徐州180公里。水路运输四通八达，境内淮沭河、柴米河等纵横交错，紧邻江苏省20大港口之一——沭阳港。
二、特色产业
沭城镇十字社区粮食作物主要种植三麦、水稻、玉米等，粮食年总产量5万吨，是市、县重要木材、粮食、生猪基地。
三、经济和社会发展情况
1997年以来，围绕木材、人力等资源优势，一手抓招商引资，一手抓私营经济，工业经济发展迅速。目前，全区已培育成以玩具、塑料制品、建筑、建材、木材和粮食加工等为主的6大工业经济主导行业。
