上海市创新文化科技进修学院于1992年在复旦大学有关部门支持下，由复旦大学退休教师创办。学院以自学考试助学辅导；研究生考前辅导；外语、计算机技能培训；“三校生”考高职、成人高考复习和普高高复为主要办学内容。采用全日制；业余制；单科选读制等多种办学形式。学院依托复旦大学等国内著名高校的人才资源、优良传统和办学经验，以严格的教学管理，保证高水平的教学质量。
当前，本院商务英语教育培训研究中心着力办好全国商务英语翻译资格认证考试的培训及认证工作，并自主开发了针对商务英语从业人员的“职业规划及发展的技能培训项目”。
