| 挤兑 run on a bank 在信用危机的影响下，存款人和银行券持有人争相向银行和银行券发行银行提取现金和兑换现金的一种经济现象 。这种现象是金属货币流通条件下货币信用危机的一种表现形式。引起挤兑的原因有两个：一是由于银行券持有人或存款人对发行银行的信用产生动摇，纷纷撤回存款；二是由于银行券贬值，银行券持有人不得不赶快把银行券抛出，以防经济上蒙受重大损失。挤兑往往是伴随着普遍提取存款的现象发生的，并进一步形成金融风潮。在出现挤兑时，市场银根异常紧缩，借贷资本短缺，利息率不断上涨，迫使一些银行和金融机构倒闭或停业，从而更进一步加剧了货币信用危机，引起金融界的混乱。 |
