By analyzing the three images of ‘family dictators’,females driven to prostitution in unstable society and average old ladies created by Lao She,this paper points out that Lao She was a contemporary writer,but his cultural psychology had strong traditional color and his female consciousness even remained at the centre of traditional male discourse.
