Through a detailed study of a description of an ethnic group in A History of Xiqian in A History of the Late Han Dynasty ,it has been proved that the Maoniu ethnic group was the Qingqiangs from the Qingyi River Area.
经考证,《后汉书·西羌传》中所载的"氂臯衷綆`羌"并非是过去所认为的"旄牛夷",有确凿证据表明,他们乃是从青衣江流域地区迁徙到越巂一带的"青羌",因其来自"旄牛夷"活动地方,即经旄牛县而来,故被称作了"氂臯?。

程应旄
程应旄 清初医家。字郊倩。新安（今安徽徽州地区）人。推崇仲景学说，生平精研《伤寒论》，提出应以“表里脏腑”四学读伤寒，诊法关键在于脉。他汲取喻嘉言、方有执研究整理伤寒条文之长，再行归类条理，阐发己见，著成《伤寒论后条辨》（又名《伤寒论后条辨直解》）十五卷（1670年），并将《伤寒论》原文、方有执《伤寒论条辨》、喻嘉言《尚论篇》三书附于书后，甚便于参检。1672年又著《伤寒论赘余》一卷，以补前书之遗。另有《医径句测》二卷（1670年）介绍《松崖医径》之脉图与图内之方。门人玉钰继其术。
