At present, the main part of them is not composed of widowers, widows, orphans, childless couples and the disabled but mainly composed of workers in harness, laid-off and jobless workers and workers who have left their jobs,and most of them are in their prime of life.

This paper covers the various wrong employment concepts existing among laid-off workers and their causes, and therefore, proposes some specific measures to change employment concepts and help them walk away from the wrong conceptual area in selecting jobs.

This paper analyzes on the importance of the information to the laid-off workers,discusses on the main characteristics of the information needed by the laid-off workers,and advances some methods for providing the information for the laid-off workers by the library.
