| 选择定则 selection rule 原子能级之间辐射跃迁所遵从的规则。通常是指电偶极辐射跃迁的选择定则，电四极矩辐射、磁偶极辐射以及更高级的辐射都比电偶极辐射要弱得多。选择定则表明并非任何两能级之间的辐射跃迁都是可能的，只有遵从选择定则的能级之间的辐射跃迁才是可能的。选择定则是确定原子光谱结构的重要规律。选择定则可以从量子力学推导出来，它是角动量守恒定律和宇称守恒定律的结果。单价原子的选择定则是量子数满足Δi＝±1，ΔJ＝0，±1；多电子原子（LS耦合）的选择定则是  为奇性态 为偶性态，以及量子数满足ΔS＝0，ΔL＝0，±1 ，ΔJ＝0，±1（除去J＝0→J＝0）；塞曼效应的选择定则还应加上磁量子数的限制。 |
