形态特征:豆科决明属一年生半灌木草本植物，高1-2米。羽状复叶具小叶6枚。小叶倒卵形至倒卵状矩圆形，长1.5-6.5厘米，宽0.8-3厘米。花通常2朵生于叶腋，花冠黄色。荚果条形，长达15厘米。种子多数，近菱形，淡褐色，有光泽。
生境分布:生于山坡、河边或栽培。主要分布于长江以南各省区，河北省等地也有栽培。
用途:种子药用，有清肝明目、润肠祛风，强壮利尿之效。
