| 江蓠属 Gracilaria 红藻门江蓠科的一属。植物体直立、单生或丛生，少数种匍匐生长，圆柱状，扁压至扁平或叶状；互生，二叉式或不规则分枝。分枝基部略缢缩，不缢缩或强烈缢缩成一小细柄。固着器盘状。体肥厚多汁，肉质或软骨质至革质。本属约100种，海产，分布较广，除极地外均有。中国有20种 ，分布于南北各海区。生长在潮间带及大干潮线附近或以下1～3米处的岩礁、石砾或贝壳上。在有淡水流入的平静内湾中生长更盛。江蓠属植物是制造江蓠琼胶的主要原料。常见的种类有真江蓠、龙须菜、细茎江蓠、硬江蓠、异枝江蓠和凤尾菜。中国已有江蓠人工养殖场，有很好的发展前景。
