| 共和主义运动 Republicanism Movement 1910年葡萄牙人民为推翻封建专制建立共和国而进行的革命运动。19世纪70年代初期，葡萄牙出现了处于萌芽状态的共和党。葡萄牙海外最大的殖民地巴西于1889年推翻了布拉干萨王朝的佩德罗二世，建立共和国，这一事件对葡萄牙人民有极大影响。另外，葡萄牙统治者在非洲扩张殖民地，触犯了英国利益，英国政府于1890年1月11日向葡萄牙发出最后通牒，要求葡萄牙立即从希雷河流域撤军，葡萄牙王室被迫屈服。王室的挥霍与无能使葡萄牙的经济每况愈下，相当多的人确信建立一个共和国会使他们的情况得到好转。因此，共和主义运动达到高潮，共和党的人数迅速增加。1910年10月4日，共和党人起义，翌日，政府军投降，王室被赶到国外，葡萄牙建立共和国。1911年8月21日，立宪议会通过共和国宪法，次年9月实施。 |
