包头师范专科学校
以培养初中师资为主要任务的高等师范专科学校。建于1958年。1963年调整停办。1971年恢复重建。设有汉语言文学、政治教育、历史、英语、数学、物理、化学、生物、地理9个专业。有各学科实验室20余个以及外语语音室、电化教学馆等教学设施。图书馆藏书26万余册。编辑出版《阴山学刊》。1990年，有在校生1202人，教职工490人，其中专任教师253人。专任教师中，有副教授28人，讲师105人。建校以来，共培养各类毕业生5000余人。
