By analyzing the background of the upgrading and transition of prefecture teachers colleges and referring on the experience of the institutes involving teacher education in foreign countries as well as in Taiwan and Hongkong, this paper researches into the upgrading and/or transition of prefecture teachers colleges and the innovation of their teacher education.

It is based on points of analyzing high teacher geography investigative study to define geographic problem investigation, geographic comprehensive problem, geography research, geography practice research, and so on, of the character of geography investigative study,and to suggest the noted problems on.

The exploration of the local universities’ role cognition in building well-off society in rural areas;

To serve the rural areas is the very key for the "construction of a well-off society" in an all-around way, and an important embodiment of revitalizing the nation through science and education, and is at the same time a necessary step for local universities to obtain inexhaustible dynamic for development.

The advantages of local colleges and universities are in geography,interpersonal relationship,government supports,abound intellectual resources etc,while the disadvantages of them are in poor service capacity,impercipient knowledge,unreasonable development project.

Located in small and medium-sized cities,local colleges and universities boast unique advantages and are expected to fullfill their duties to provide services to modern agriculture.

The M1 and M8 at Gaoya village in Yanshi had been explored and excavated from June to November in 2004, some relics of building ramming, materials and ash pits were discovered, which prove the plane of hemline of the heap earth of M1 is round, and the scale of the building on the surface around the tomb is large.
