天津老西开教堂
西开教堂位于和平区独山路上，建于1916年，为法国天主教所建。教堂为法国罗曼式建筑，高45米，建筑面积1585平方米，平面呈长十字形，正面和后部耸立3座碧绿色大圆顶塔楼，呈“品”字形，墙体由红、黄花砖砌成，上筑圆肚形绿色尖顶，檐下是半圆形拱窗。堂内为三通廊式，内墙壁画琳琅。
天主教天津教区初建时，主教府设在望海楼教堂。1913至1916年在墙子河西的老西开修建了主教府(1914年由望海楼迁此)，同时还修建了修道院、西开教堂、教会医院、法汉中学。西开教堂就成为天津天主教会的中心。
