工件在连续传送的同时进行加工或完成其他工序的自动生产线，又称旋转型自动线。转子自动线主要由工作转子、传送转子和控制装置组成。工作转子是完成工序变换的工艺设备，它一般是在中央传动轴上固定着工作圆盘，工作圆盘上有沿圆周均布的工作头，可以完成相同的工序（图1）或不同的工序（图2）。传送转子在两个同步回转的工作转子之间传递工件，它的上面装有沿圆周均布的机械手，与工作转子上的工作头相对应，象齿轮啮合一样地保持传动关系。由于工件是在连续传递过程中完成加工或其他工序的，在工作转子与传送转子之间的交接时间很短，因而辅助时间损失小，生产率高。
