| 临河市 位于中国内蒙古自治区西部，河套平原腹部。属巴彦淖尔盟。1990年人口41.14万。有蒙古、回、满、朝鲜、达斡尔、鄂温克、鄂伦春、壮等少数民族。面积2329平方千米。西汉置临河县。后汉末废。明属宁夏卫。清乾隆后由萨拉齐厅遥领，光绪二十九年（1903）隶五原厅。1912年改厅为五原县。1925年析五原县设临河设治局，1929年改为临河县，1984年撤县改市。野生植物有红柳、茱棘、蒲草等。土特产主要有苹果梨、黑瓜子等。 |
