偶氮二甲酰胺又称发泡剂AC，简称ABFA、ADCA，分子量116．1，淡黄色结晶粉末。相对密度(20℃／4℃)1.63～1．65，熔点180℃。溶于碱、二甲基亚砜、二甲基甲酰胺，微溶于乙二醇，不溶于酸、醇、汽油、苯、吡啶、丙酮，难溶于水。分解温度160～200 ℃，发气量200～300mL／g。分解产物主要是氮气(65％)、一氧化碳(32％)、二氧化碳(3％)。室温贮存稳定，在120℃以上易分解，产生大量气体、在密闭容器中易造成爆炸。不易燃，有自熄性。无毒。
