作品及其复制品上刊印的表明该作品受版权保护的标记。其作用是向公众昭示作品受版权保护，以资证明侵犯版权为故意行为而使之受到一定程度的遏制。有的国家规定作品必须使用版权标记才能受到法律保护；还有的国家规定，是否刊载版权标记并不影响作品的保护。中国传统使用的版权标记为 "版权所有" 字样。版权标记通常还须伴有关于作品版权情况的说明文字。例如《世界版权公约》规定，版权标记由版权符号┘即英文copyright(版权)一词的首字母外加一个圆圈,版权所有者的姓名以及作品首次出版或注册年份三部分组成。版权标记须刊载在作品的显著部位。图书形式的作品有专页刊载版权标记，称版权页。中国图书版权页还常常刊载作品的版次、印次、印数、定价以及发行人等。
