In this article,we adopt a new algorithm for calculating Top Event failure probability of non coherent fault tree,which is based on BDD to decompose Top Event of the fault tree and avoid seeking PIS and the smallest cover of PIS.

This protection criterion detects the trip of the circuit breaker at the opposite side of a transmission line by using fault current component of non-fault phase, and cooperates at the same time with the distance protection of fault phase, composing the whole-line quick-acting protection.
