影像学设备元件之一。数字成像方式中，把来自各类传感器、接收器的模拟时域信号转换为孤立的数字阵列的装置。模拟数字转换器的效率表现为转换速度、转换精度和动态范围。当ADC的采样频率高于连续的时间信号最高频率两倍以上时，经采样得到的离散的时间序列可以完全恢复固有的时间相关性信号，不丢失信息。ADC的转换速度决取于影像载体(传感器、接收器)采集的影像信号特征。模拟信号系连续量，可表示的动态范围是无限的，但整数的数字量是离散量，最小变化量是1。数字位数越多，动态范围越大。ADC转换的精度和动态范围以其二进制数字信号的位数(bit)表示。
