Raw batches of ceramic frit and zircon sand used for glaze were ground in a planetary vibrationball mill respectively, The violent impact as well as attrition induced by the grinding medium led a series ofmechanochemical phenomena to occur.

The fritted glaze was melted at 1120℃,which was composed of boric acid and borax as mainflux,and the effect of chemical composition and process on glaze performance was discussed.
