ameco是北京飞机维修工程有限公司的英文缩写，它是中国国际航空公司和德国汉莎航空公司于1989年成立的合资企业。其航空技工学校（简称aatc）的任务是为ameco培养和输送具有中级水平的航空维修人员。从1996年开始，还为在京的其它合资企业招收代培生。学校位于首都机场ameco内。
aatc是中德两国政府1989——1997合作项目，学校引进德国“双元制”职业教育体制。学校注重理论与实践结合，突出实际技能训练，实习与理论的教学比例为2：1，即学生在校期间，2／3的时间接受技能训练，1／3的时间学习相关的文化基础和专业理论知识。校内有钳工、机械加工、焊接、钣金、塑料五个车间，有电子、电气、液压、气动、发动机五个实验室，有计算机、语音等七个专业教室，所有的训练场所和专业教室配备有现代化的教学设备。
学校担任理论和实习教学的37名教师，他们绝大多数来自企业工程技术岗位，又经过为期两年半的国内外严格培训，具有较高的业务素质。
招生专业：飞机结构、飞机机械、航空发动机、航空电子电气、工业电气专业。各专业开设的理论课程：除语文、政治、英语、体育等基础课外，还有专业数学、专业制图、专业技术等理论课程。
