  」」n目团el镜煤(v itrain)光亮、均一、常具有内生裂隙的宏观煤岩成分。在成煤过程中,镜煤是由成煤植物的木质、纤维组织经过凝胶化作用形成的。镜煤呈黑色,光泽强,结构均匀,性脆,有贝壳状断口。镜煤的内生裂隙特别发育,裂隙面呈眼球状,裂隙间有时充填方解石和黄铁矿等薄膜。在显微镜下观察,镜煤是由显微煤岩类型中的微镜煤和以镜质组为主的微亮煤组成的。随着煤化度加深,镜煤的颜色由深变浅,光泽变强,内生裂隙增多。在中等变质阶段,镜煤具有强的粘结性和膨胀性。在煤层中镜煤呈透镜状或条带状,厚度一般不超过20~,垂直于层理的裂隙。有时呈线理状夹杂在亮煤或暗煤中,但有明显的分界线。 (戴中蜀)
