更年期精神失调
部分妇女在更年期时可出现神经精神症状，如失眠、焦虑、易激惹、抑郁等。失眠是围绝经期、绝经期妇女经常遇到的问题，其原因多为夜间潮热所致。虽然这一时期焦虑、易激惹、抑郁等症状的发生率增高，但并未明确它们与绝经的关系。这些症状的发生与个性和社会文化背景等多种因素有关，也与内源性雌激素缺乏有关。有理论认为，雌激素与神经递质5-羟色胺的代谢有关。在临床上，更年期精神失调可表现为抑郁症、疑心病、慢性脑综合征以及药物成瘾。患更年期抑郁症的妇女常自觉老而无用，痛哭流涕；慢性脑综合征的患者在认识力、记忆力、判断力、理解力等均有明显下降。更年期精神失调应在精神科和妇产科医生的共同配合下进行诊断和治疗。激素替代治疗是有效的治疗方法之一。
