Starting from the systemic functional perspective, this paper intends to explore the pragmatic projection of person deixis, broadens its conventional scope of understanding by assigning pragmatic projection to those person deixis whose deictic center has been shifted from speaker to other participants, and finds its interpersonal function as well as the role it plays in daily communication.
