意谓款项。流行于中国近代商业和金融业的术语。又称头衬。根据收入款项和付出款项的相对大小,又分"多头寸"或"多单"，"缺头寸"或"缺单"。如果银行、钱庄或票号预计当日的收入款项大于付出款项,即称"多头寸"或"多单"；相反,称"缺头寸"或"缺单"。这种头寸多缺的预计行为俗称"轧头寸"，轧多可把余额出借，充分利用资金，获取拆息；轧缺则须想方设法拆进，以便平衡资金供求,维持资信,俗称"调头寸"。头寸也往往被用来指喻市场上的资金供求总量。市场上多头寸者欲拆出总额大于缺头寸者拆进额，即资金临时闲置数超过其需求量时，称为市面"头寸松"，相反，称为"头寸紧"。
