本文结合多样性保护的需要，运用繁殖生态学的理论与方法，从1998年到2001年，在以辽宁省双台河口国家级自然保护区内，以区内世界濒危物种黑嘴鸥Larus saundersi(Swinhoe)为研究对象，针对黑嘴鸥的繁殖生态学进行了研究，通过对黑嘴鸥的巢位选择、雏鸟生长规律、食性、日活动规律、社会行为、迁徙规律和种群数量等的研究，通过大量的野外调查、资料采集和室内分析，针对实际深入研究和评价了自然恢复途径下黑嘴鸥的繁殖和种群特征，以及人为管理途径下保护黑嘴鸥的效果。
