又称“磨合”。新的或大修后的汽车(或机器)在开始使用阶段，通过限速、减载使配合件正常稳定运转的一种措施。是有意安排的磨损过程，可使摩擦零件接触面上的加工痕迹磨光和配合形状密合，以延长使用期限，以及提高经济性和可靠性。汽车走合期的行驶里程不应少于1000千米，走合结束须作走合保养。
