Since the 1990s Chinese scholars have introduced the theories of grammaticalization and meanwhile conducted systematic and deep studies into the grammaticalization of Chinese language from such aspects as routes to grammaticalization,mechanism of grammaticalization,and diachronic evolution and synchronic analysis of grammaticalization.

The article made diachronic investigation and synchronic analysis of the appearance of "Shuazz" and "Waner" in Chinese,and then analysed the reasons for the long-term existence of "Shuazi" in modern Chinese and for its being eventually substituted by "Waner"、Finally,it inferred the time when "Waner" would entirely substitute"Shuazi".
文章对“耍子”和“玩儿”在汉语中出现的情况进行了历时考察与共时分析,并对“耍子”在近代汉语中长期存在的原因和“玩儿”能取代“耍子”的原因进行了分析,最后对“玩儿”完全取代“耍子”的时间进行了推测。
