中国园艺科学技术工作者的群众性学术团体，中国科学技术协会成员。其基本任务是团结广大园艺科学工作者,开展国内和国际间的学术交流，培育园艺人才,促进学科发展。专业范围为果树、蔬菜和观赏植物的栽培、育种、贮藏加土及园林规划设计等。1930年创建，1956年选出第一届理事会，曾宪朴为理事长。设有果树、蔬菜、西瓜和甜瓜、观赏园艺等4个专业委员会,花卉盆景、西瓜和甜瓜2个协会。办有《园艺学报》等刊物。
