Based on Biot's theory and the theory of generalized characteristics,the bifurcation on the slow-wave fronts in anisotopric fluid-saturated porous materials is studied.

The quantitative relation between dielectric constant and temperature of saturated liquid was developed,and a method was proposed to calculate the dielectric constant of saturated liquid at different temperature from two data points.

Based on the Corresponding State Theory (CST) and other methods for predicting transport properties,a new corresponding state method is developed to estimate the viscosity from thermal conductivity and to estimate thermal conductivity from the viscosity of freon at the saturated liquid state.

The explosive boiling may take place when the saturated liquid nitrogen undergoes a transient high heatflux, though the special heat transfer mechanisms in this process have not been analyzed.
