| 电介质 dielectrics 主要以极化方式而不是以传导方式传递电的作用和影响的物质。绝缘体和导体是这两种方式的极端情形。在这两种极端情形之间属于半导体 。典型的半导体如碘硫化锑 (SbSI)、砷化镓（GaAs）、氧化锌（ZnO）、硫化镉（CdS）等也可归入特殊类型的电介质：极性电介质——压电半导体；在高频电场作用下，甚至金属薄层也可看成是高损耗的电介质（见电介质损耗）。此外温度足够高时，半导体和电介质却成为导体。因此，物质电学性质的这种分类是相对的，得随具体条件而定。 |
