| 大足石窟 中国佛教石窟。位于四川省大足县西南、西北和东北的山区，存石刻造像 5 万尊，共40余处。其中比较重要的有北山、南山、宝顶山、石门山、妙高山、舒城岩、石篆山等10余处。北山、宝顶山的石刻造像最具代表性。
北山之巅的佛湾，从南到北形如新月，全长近500米，岩高约7 米，沿崖造像，龛窟相连，密如蜂房，有编号洞窟290个，造像 5000多身。为唐、五代、宋所造，以宋代的为多。宋代雕刻普遍趋于清秀。其中的观音菩萨像从服饰、体态到面形表情，都已女性化，妩媚动人。如125 窟的数珠观音仿佛是一位俊俏的少女。 宝顶山位于大足县城东北17.5千米处，是南宋中期的一处密宗道场。四周 2.5千米内山岩上遍刻佛像。以大佛湾为中心，其余分布在小佛湾、佛祖寺等18处地方。主要开凿于南宋淳熙至淳祐年间，后代略有增补。大佛湾造像统以生死轮回、因果报应为主题，与北山造像风格明显不同。北山造像清秀恬美，理想化成分多。宝顶山造像则多愁苦、恐惧、暴怒等激烈表情。 |
