喉返神经
recurrent nerve
发自迷走神经干的胸段，但立即返致颈部，是喉肌的主要运动神经。左喉返神经发出的位置较低，跨过主动脉弓返至颈部，右喉返神经发出的位置略高，绕过右锁骨下动脉返回颈部。由于以上特点，在做甲状腺次全切除术时，损伤右侧喉返神经机会远比左侧多，同时在结扎甲状腺下动脉时，宜远离腺侧叶的外缘进行，以免损害喉返神经。
