The thesis, based on a qualitative method, conducts empirical study into the translations of some neologisms originating from recent Chinese culture (called Neologisms in the thesis) with the aid of some theoretical tools, which are culture-related and semantics-related concepts.

This paper intends to make a tentative study on the formation of new Chinese Culture-bound terms from linguistics level,discusses the relevant translation principles and approaches from the perspective of culture by using examples and puts forward some practical translation methods.
