Connecting with Laser technology and modern electronic technology,this paper advances a non-contact detection technology of discontinuous gyration surface's radial jumping error.

This article is about the research on the data processing problem of measuring the radial jumped error of discontinuous gyration surface.

According to the geometrical characteristics that the cross line of non revolution quadric surface and two groups of parallel plane in specific direction is circle,a method is studied in which the solid form of non revolution quadric surface being cut by given plane may be solved directly and accurately through drawing auxiliary spherical surface which contains the circles.

While the center changing spherical method may be employed in solving the intersecting lines of quadratic surface of non revolution and annular torus (quartic surface),the conventional method is incompetent in determining the center of the center changing sphere.
