In order to establish a chemical stock of cellulose sulfate analogues having different substitution patterns for investigating structure-efficacy relationship, a method for regioselective sulfation of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was described to control the position and distribution of sulfate groups in cellulose sulfates.

Concanavalin A (ConA) is immobilized on a pre-activated chitosan microspheres,and then oriented immobilization of urease is carried out based on the strong interaction between ConA and glycoprotein.

The results show that the rafted microstructures develop as a result of directional coarsening when uniaxial loads are applied.

The directional coarsening of γ' precipitates and its orientation dependence were observed by SEM, and the results showed that the γ' precipitate morphology depends on stress axis, while the coarsening directions of γ' precipitate are along (100} for various stress axis.

The results showed that the stress distribution in matrix channels is closely related with the directional coarsening, and the driving force for directional coarsening is the anisotropic relaxation of lattice misfit resulted from the inhomogeneous distribution of plastic deformation.
