While there are improvements in the instrument guzheng, the zheng music obtains reforms and innovations, especially when the breakthrough has been made in the left-hand-playing techniques, which greatly enriches the zheng music.

Zheng music is the most important constituent of music culture in Tang dynasty.

This thesis is organized as follows:The first chapter,the initial development of Guzheng Arts in Beijing area, introduces different performance styles of famous Guzheng performers who live in other cities of China,the development of Guzheng education in Beijing area,and the popular styles of Shandong and Henan Guzheng performance in Beijing area.
