缓蚀剂

   用以抑制金属腐蚀的添加剂。又称腐蚀抑制剂或阻蚀剂。通常在腐蚀介质中加入少量(ω=0.001~0.01)缓蚀剂就能大大降低金属腐蚀速率。
   根据作用机理缓蚀剂可分为3类 :①阳极型缓蚀剂。如中性介质中硅酸盐、亚硝酸盐、铬酸盐等,它们的负离子向阳极迁移与金属腐蚀的阳极溶解物生成沉淀覆盖于阳极表面,增加阳极极化,使腐蚀电势正移,起到防腐作用。缓蚀剂加入量要适当,如果不足,阳极覆盖不完全,会增加部分金属的孔蚀,所以又称危险性缓蚀剂。②阴极型缓蚀剂。它的正离子向阴极迁移,在阴极上生成保护被膜,增加阴极极化,使腐蚀电势负移,又称安全缓蚀剂。③混合型缓蚀剂。它对阴阳极同时起抑制作用,腐蚀电势变化不大,但腐蚀电流减小很多。根据缓蚀剂被膜特点,可分为氧化物膜、沉淀膜和吸附膜3种,三者均为加入缓蚀剂后改变金属表面状态,抑制了金属腐蚀速率。缓蚀剂效率(I)通常用下式表示
