    (银柳、红豆) 
    形态特征:胡颓子科胡颓子属落叶灌木或小乔木,高5-10米。幼枝被银白色鳞片,老枝栗褐色。叶互生,长圆状披针形至狭披针形,长4-8厘米,宽1.5-3.5厘米,两面均有白色鳞片,背面尤密,成银白色;叶柄长5-8毫米。5-6月开花,花银白色,芳香,外侧被鳞片,1-3朵生于小枝下部叶腋;花被筒钟形,长5毫米,上部4裂。裂片三角形。果实长椭圆形或近圆形,直径8-11毫米.熟时褐黄色,密被银白色鳞片。
    生境分布:生于1000-1500米的沙漠地区。分布于我国东北、华北及西北。地中海地区、俄罗斯、印度也有。用途:果食用或酿酒、制饮料等。
