Based on the multiform developing trends of the cyclone equipments,a new filtering hydrocyclone is proposed,which consists of an axial-flow hydrocyclone whose conical section and part of cylinder are replaced by porous walls.

In the rotary cylinder filtration, particles on the surface of the cake were controlled mainly by three forces: centrifugal force, deposition force and tangential torque.

The physical mechanisms responsible for spin filtering effect are analyzed in detail,and the main factors affecting spin filtering efficiency are also studied.
