This paper has discussed the significance of library orientation training for freshman in universi-ties,analyzed existing problems in orientation training combined with the actual work of the Jilin Medical College Library,and provided the new method of education and the work of the freshman training in prospect.

New teacher induction education is the middle and key phase in the teacher’s professional development process and it is very meaningful for teacher professional development.

This paper has defined librarian training,analyzed its demand,and expounded specific measures of university librarian training.
