描述TarphochlamysBremek.肖笼鸡属，爵床科，2种，一产印度阿萨姆，我国贵州有1种：T.darrisii（Levl.）Hossain.。本属植物具等叶性，冠檐向后弯折，种子双面凸，具厚壁的表皮层。很象Gutzlaffia属，但花萼5深裂，发育雄蕊4枚等特征又显然不同。
