| 猫鲨属 Scyliorhinus；cat sharks 真鲨目猫鲨科的一属。全世界约有13种，中国仅有1种。小型鲨鱼。眼狭长 ，椭圆形 。口大 。喷水孔细小近眼后方。鳃孔5个，狭小。牙细小而多，3 齿头型或多齿头型 。背鳍2个，第一背鳍大于第二背鳍。尾鳍平直，尾椎轴不上翘，尾鳍下叶前部稍突出，后部有一缺刻。胸鳍中大。化石见于晚白垩世至上新世。分布于北大西洋、地中海、印度洋和西北太平洋。栖息近海浅水中，食小鱼与无脊椎动物。可供食用。中国只有虎纹猫鲨1种，体长0.5米左右。体黄褐色，具11或12 条不整齐横纹 ，并散布着不规则淡色斑纹 ；腹面淡褐色。分布于黄海和东海沿岸。日本和朝鲜沿海也有分布 。为冷温性，栖息在近海底层。卵生。
